Background
I hold a Master's degree in Mathematics from Dragomanov University in Kyiv, where I studied for five years. Mathematics isn't just my teaching subject — it's how I think. That depth of understanding is what allows me to explain the same concept in five different ways until one of them clicks for your child.
I've lived in Berlin for over eight years. I speak five languages: English (fluent), German and French (advanced), and Ukrainian and Russian as my native languages. In a city full of multilingual families and international schools, this matters — when a student is stuck on a concept, sometimes switching to their home language for thirty seconds unlocks everything.
I tutor students across all year groups, from Year 5 through IB Diploma and A-Levels. I work with students at Berlin's international schools and with families across Europe online. I know the Cambridge IGCSE, Edexcel, AQA, IB, and German curricula, and I understand the specific challenges students face when moving between them.
My approach is straightforward: I find out exactly where your child is struggling, and I focus our time there. I don't follow a generic programme — every student gets a plan built around their specific gaps, their specific exam board, and their specific goals.

Several routes to the same idea
If an explanation isn't landing, the explanation is the problem, not the student. Knowing the mathematics well beyond school level means I can come at a topic from a different direction until one of them fits.

Lessons follow your child's actual syllabus, their current topic and the gaps underneath it — not a fixed programme that every student is walked through in the same order.

Another language when it helps
Lessons are in English, because that is what the exam requires. But when a student is stuck on the idea rather than the words, hearing it in a language they think in is often what unlocks it.

Familiar with the transitions
Moving between school systems leaves specific, predictable gaps. Having taught across five curricula, I know where those gaps usually are and check for them early.
